York, Maine- Charles C. Verdeur, 85, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at his home. He was born in Camden, NJ on April 13, 1932 a son of the late Clement J. and Celestine M. (Galback) Verdeur. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean war. He worked as a Passenger Service Manager for many years at United Airlines. He was an avid sports fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 66 yrs, Claire M. (White) Verdeur; a daughter Carolee V. Rada and her husband Richard of York Harbor, ME; 4 grandchildren CWO3 Jeremy Rada now serving in Iraq of Swampscott, MA, Alexandra Rada of Cambridge, MA, Adrianna Rada of Orange, CA and Jenna Reynolds of Cape Neddick, ME; 4 great-grandchildren Stella Rada, Emmy Rada, Isla Rada Reynolds and Ava Meier. A Graveside service with Military Honors will take place at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11am.
