Claire Ruth Ginepra (MacNevin) passed away, peacefully on October 10, 2017 at Durgin Pines/Nursing Home, Kittery, Maine where she had resided for several years. Claire was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Leonard Ginepra, and her parents, Neil and Margaret (MacDonald) MacNevin of Somerville, Mass. Claire was born in Cambridge, MA on May 3rd, 1932 and resided for many years in Hampton, NH. Over the years she and her husband resided in York, ME, Vermont, Somerville, MA and Prince Edward Island. For a time Claire and her husband worked as volunteers at York Hospital. She was known for her off beat sense of humor, the delight of many friends, and her great love for her parents birth place, Prince Edward Island, where many of her good friends reside. Claire leaves her brother, Neil MacNevin and his wife Ruth, of Hampton, NH; nephews, Scott of Hampton and Jay of Melrose, MA and a great nephew Dylan MacNevin of San Francisco, CA. A Graveside service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday, Oct. 17th in the First Parish Cemetery, York, Maine. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made, in her name, to your local SPCA.
