York, Maine- Edward L. MacGorman, 81, of Eureka Ave., passed away on Monday, November 20th, 2017. He was born July 7, 1936 in Caribou, Maine a son of the late John R. and Doris (Adams) MacGorman. He was a graduate of Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. He served in the United States Air Force. He worked for Lucent Technologies before retiring. He was a member of the York Street Baptist Church and served the Executive Council for the Sohier Park Committee. He leaves his wife of 63 yrs, Sally Ann (Frymire) MacGorman; 2 sons Douglas MacGorman and wife Beverly of Warren, NJ and David MacGorman and wife Donna of Howell, NJ; a daughter Debra Garnecki and husband John of Okatie, SC; Also survived by 7 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Brother of Jack MacGorman and wife Ruth, and Merrill MacGorman, both of Texas; a sister Frances Marshall and husband Ray of PA; A sister Doris Barton predeceased him.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on FRIDAY, November 24th in the York Street Baptist Church, 61 York St., York, Maine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Deacon's Fund at the Church.
