York, Maine-Eleanor Estelle (Taylor)Davis 87, daughter of the late Henry M. and Gertrude C. (Lindgren) Taylor passed away November 28th, 2017 surrounded by family at Durgin Pines in Kittery, Maine. Ellie grew up in Kittery and married her late husband Arnold D. Davis in 1950. She resided in York, Maine until entering into a nursing facility in 2015. She raised five daughters, Cheryl Emery and her husband Steve of Naples, ME, Karen Ahl and her husband Scott of Medina, TX, Robyn Clithero and her husband William, Cindy Donnell and her husband Jeffrey, and Kimberly Donnell and her late husband Kenneth all of York, ME, as well as 15 Grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother James Taylor of Kittery, ME, a brother Frederick Taylor and his wife Marie of York, ME and a sister Virginia Goodwin and her husband Herbert of York, ME. She is predeceased by her sister Dorothy Gherson and two brothers; Leonard Taylor and Maynard Taylor. Ellie has many friends, nieces and nephews and will be missed by all her knew her. Ellie was an avid cook and worked up until age 82. She was a sweet, sweet lady and worked hard all her life. She loved the outdoors and traveled the country after retiring.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 13th at 4 PM in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine with refreshments to follow in St. Aspinquid Masonic Lodge. Visit www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com
