Lawrence Kehoe Reilly, 86, recently of Portsmouth, NH and formerly a resident of York, ME and Lowell, MA passed away on May 18, 2017 of natural causes. He was born at home on April 21, 1931 in Lowell, MA, son of the late Ruth (Grace) Reilly and Peter W. Reilly, Jr. Raised in Lowell, Larry was a graduate of Lowell High School and Georgetown University. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served in Japan. He was honorably discharged and in January of 1956 he married the former Nancy King. They were happily married for 57 years until her death in 2013. Larry and Nancy raised their six children in Lowell before moving to Cape Neddick, ME in 1987. Larry spent his entire career of over 40 years in sales in the printing and publishing industry where he was well known and respected. He was employed at the Courier Corporation, Boston Educational Research Company and W.A. Krueger Company. Larry loved his family. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hiking, skiing, canoeing, gardening, fly fishing and playing tennis. He was a long time resident of Drakes Island in Wells, ME and spent many happy times there with his large extended family. He loved spending time in the woods or at the beach with his dogs. His sense of humor was legendary. He leaves his daughters Catherine Morency and her husband Frank of Westford, MA, Ann Reilly of York, ME, Elizabeth Baxter and her husband Gary of York, ME; sons Peter Reilly and his wife Maria Goes of Brooklyn, NY, Thomas Reilly and his wife Kristen Sample of Burlington, VT and Matthew Reilly of York, ME; twelve grandchildren and a great-grandson. He is survived by his sisters Grace Conway of Westford, MA and Ann Gervais of Lowell, MA and was the brother of the late Peter W. Reilly III. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews who adored him.

Calling hours for Lawrence will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, May 24th in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine.
