Biddeford, Maine-Thomas Matthew “Matt” Hannigan, 60, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, in Southern Maine Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1957 in Lewiston, ME, a son of the late Charles A. and Margaret M. (Hopkins) Hannigan. He leaves two brothers, Charles A. Hannigan of Tewksbury, MA, and John A. Hannigan of Brookline, MA; two sisters, Margaret “Peggy” M. Hannigan of Auburn, ME, and Patricia M. Hannigan-Foster of York, ME; 1 nephew, 4 nieces, and many cousins. A sister, Katherine Hannigan, predeceased him.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, August 4 in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, ME. There are no calling hours. Coffee will be served in the church basement afterward. Burial will be in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline, MA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Communities Charitable Giving Fund.
