William Henderson Masterson

York, Maine- William H. Masterson, 86, of York and formerly of Malden, MA passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. He was born November 16, 1930 in Malden, MA son of the late George and Gertrude (Curtis) Masterson.  After serving in the Air Force in Korea, he graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston and worked as an Architectural Draftsman for many years.  He leaves his beloved wife of 64 years, Claire E. (Pascarelli) Masterson, and 5 children; William P. Masterson and his wife Kathy of North Andover, MA, Lisa A. Durso and her husband Gerry of Londonderry, NH, Lori J. Boudrow and her husband Rick of Amesbury, MA, George P. Masterson and his wife Nicole of York, ME and Michael G. Masterson and his wife Erin of Groveland, MA; and a brother Matthew L. Masterson of Malden, MA; 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

Bill led a full and active life and volunteered with several local charitable organizations. A lifelong sports fan, he also enjoyed reading, music, and spending time outdoors. Bill's passion for life was fueled by his faith and above all else, his family. His most precious time involved being with his 16 grandchildren who he adored. "Papa" left a lasting impression on everyone he met. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, August 18th in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine with a period of visitation for family and friends to be held from 9:30-11am in the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York Food Pantry.
