Keith W. Erikson Obituary

In loving memory of Keith William Erikson, who died unexpectedly at the age of 74, while golfing with his friends at Jupiter Hills Club in Tequesta, Florida.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts, father of three and a friend to all, Keith began his journey in Norwood, Massachusetts when he met the love of his life, Debbie, to whom he was married for 51 years.  After attending Norwood High School, Keith continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering.

After graduation, Keith began his professional career at Allied Container, then at Norco in Connecticut, before starting his own business with his twin brother Ken.  Together they created KERK Motion Products in Nashua, New Hampshire and soon outgrew the location and moved the company to Hollis, New Hampshire, later expanding to a second manufacturing facility in Milford, New Hampshire.  As true entrepreneurs, they developed numerous patents for mechanical actuators for a variety of applications and products.

As a beloved father, Keith always found time to be there for his family.  He loved his kids and you could always find him helping out or coaching their teams to spread his knowledge and enthusiasm to those around him.  His creativity also extended to the canvas, with a brush, painting landscapes of what he loved and sharing them with others.

As an athlete, Keith played tennis early on, then brought his skills to the golf course.  Keith and Debbie became members at various clubs throughout their lives.  Among the most recognized are Vesper Country Club, York Golf and Tennis Club, and Jupiter Hills Club.  Every New England sports game played, especially the Celtics, will remind his family of the passion he had for competition and sports.

He was an amazing organizer and visionary for any project or event he was involved in.  Notably taking pride in running the Jupiter Hills Art Show, countless golf outings, and numerous social events.

He will be missed forever by his wife Debbie, his daughter Lauren, his son Kevin with wife Katie, his son Darren, and his granddaughter Penelope.  He leaves behind his sister Diane, sister-in-law Carolyn, Debbie’s sisters Helene and Marcia and her brother Craig, and their respective families.  Keith was predeceased by his parents and his brothers David and Ken.

Forever in all our hearts, we love you!
