Biography

York, Maine- Eunice M. Woods, 80, of 117 Long Sands Rd., died Friday, November 23, 2012. She was born Oct. 20, 1932 in Damariscotta, ME a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Ruth E. (Nerbonne) Gough. She graduated from York High School in 1950 and from Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in Lynn, MA in 1953. She had moved to York Beach in 1963. She leaves her husband of 55 yrs, Malcolm L. Woods; two sons, Don M. Woods and his wife, Jennifer, and Dana M. Woods; two grandchildren Darrel and Rachel; many nieces and nephews. A son Darrel M. Woods predeceased her in 1981. She was an active member of the Union Congregational Church, singing in the choir, serving on the music & flower committees, teaching Sunday school for 10 years and also served as vice president of the Ladies Aid. She served as a school room mother and chaperone for 9 years and as a Den mother with the Cub Scouts for 4 years.

A memorial service for Eunice will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the Union Congregational Church, York Beach, Maine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Congregational Church, P.O. Box 969, York Beach, ME 03901.
