Alexander Turner, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday May 11th in York, Maine. Al succumbed to his illness after a life long battle with cancer. He died surrounded by the love of his wife, Rosemary, his daughter Mary Ellen, His son John and wife Ana.
Al was a long time resident of both York, Maine and Glastonbury, Connecticut. In Connecticut Al was a teacher heading up the art department of a local high school. Al also served in the US Coast Guard (Korean War). Al enjoyed all great outdoor activities, cribbage and bocce. He really enjoyed watching his favorite team, the New York Yankees win in baseball.
He will be greatly missed by his two grandsons, Benjamin and Brady Witham of whom he was intensely proud. He also leaves behind his sisters, Betty Anne and Clara, as well as many nephews, nieces and other relatives and close friends.
