Ann M. McCullough, 86, of Southbridge formerly of York Beach, ME died Wednesday, April 11th in UMass Memorial Hospital – Memorial Campus surrounded by her family. Her husband of 47 years, Robert J. McCullough, Sr. died in 1999. She leaves two sons, Robert J. McCullough, Jr. and his wife, Sharon of Southbridge and Sean McCullough and his wife, Noelle of Hudson; three daughters, Jane Thomson and her husband, William of Kennebunk, ME, Ann Saltzman and her husband, Paul of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Marianne McCullough of Northborough; 15 grandchildren, Heath, Jennifer and her husband, Mike Totman, Patrick and his wife, Robyn, Courtney and her husband, Angel Rodriguez, Heather, Justin, Hayley, Luke, Alex, Andrew, Matthew and his wife, Lauren Russell, Stephanie, Paul, Timily and her husband, Mike Kennedy and Kirsten and her fiancé, Ryan Forche; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cis McCullough of Gardner and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Fitchburg the daughter of Paul and Jane (Young) Hare and graduated from St. Bernard’s High School. She adored travelling with family on numerous cruises and recently returned from a 21-day cruise to Panama. Her favorite pastime was knitting and making afghans for family and friends. She was a volunteer with the York Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels when she first retired to York. She enjoyed spending time at the beach in Maine and Nubble Lighthouse. Her home was a gathering spot where everyone was always welcome. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives were her source of interest and joy. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, June 1st in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine. Burial will be in the First Parish Cemetery, York, Maine. Please omit flowers.
