I am so deeply shocked and saddened to learn my dear colleague Betsy's final days were due the cruel nature of the disease ALS. It is impossible to 'see' her other than the lovely WHS Yearbook photo featured in the obit. This must have been her decision. I only wish I had known sooner to be of some small comfort. Richard and family feel her loss and the relief of her suffering. Her kindness and unique humor will be remembered by former students, colleagues, and friends. Gentle hugs to all who gave her comfort and love .

Betsy was one of my favorites during my time at WHS! She was always pleasant and a joy to learn from...I appreciated her love of teaching! My condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

Beth Camp, was one of the most devoted math teachers I have known.
Great memories in your class.

May you rest in peace.

I have far too many memories to post them all. I will remember her.

When Betsy could not get me to wrap my brain around xs and ys she drove me to her father in Maine and I sat with him at the dining room table while he taught me math, the way he had taught Betsy when she was struggling.

I hope they are together again.

I had Miss Camp for Algebra 1 my sophomore year (1981-82) at Winnacunnet High School. I was struggling but she helped me break through my mathematics wall. She was a great teacher and a sweet woman. She will be missed by many

I have known Betsy for many years. I delivered the paper to her family home next to the Union Congrational Church in the Beach. I worked with her at the Ocean house. We were the best of friends. This last year when she took sick I gave her a smile with a bouquet of flowers. I plowed her out a few times knowing that Richard may have needed the drive cleared if Betsy had to go to the hospital. I never charged and would never take anything for it. She was a special light in the church and she always spoke highly of those she knew. I always found time for a hug to share with her and she did. She gave what she could and was a positive influence to many that she met. I shall miss her always.

My deepest condolences to all Betsy's loved ones. She was my first cousin, we grew up together in York and were the same age. In childhood Betsy and I were such good friends. Although I had not seen her since my last visit in 2007, Betsy remained dear to me. I am sad that I did not know of her illness. Goodnight, sweet Cuz and "flights angels Sing thee to thy rest."
