Catherine M. (Dyer) Hill

Kittery, Maine-Catherine (Caddy) M. Hill, 91 passed away on  September 24, 2019  at  Durgin Pines Assisted living  in Kittery, ME.  She was born on July 24, 1928, in Salem, MA.  She grew up in Somerville, MA and graduated from Somerville High School.  She was a member of the Boston Local 26 Union, working at Sheraton Boston for over 25 years.

Catherine married Clarence (Buddy) Hill on February 13, 1955 in Somerville, MA. They made their home in Medford, MA where they raised six children.  She leaves behind, a son Denis Hill and his daughter Alexandria, Joanne Hill, Noreen Horn and her daughter Elizabeth Reiter and sons Dean, Patrick, Michael, Catherine Keenan and Son-in law William and their daughters Catherine (Catie) and Colleen, MaryBeth Shanklin and Son-in law Jody  and their son Oliver and daughter Grace, Patrice Foggarty and her daughters Jessica and Cara. Her great grandchildren Leah, Sam Reiter and Lyla Horn. Her sister’s Patricia Kass of Indiana and Helen Cravatta of Salem MA and many nieces and nephews.   She enjoyed spending her summers in York Beach ME and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends. A special thank you to Sentry Hill and Durgin Pines and for all their love and support. 

She was predeceased by her husband Clarence (Buddy), her parents Beatrice (Hickey) Dyer and Daniel Dyer and her Siblings William Dyer, Daniel Dyer, Richard Dyer, Marie Poldoian, Margaret (Peggy) Murphy. 

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11am on Saturday, September 28th in St. Raphael’s Church, 514 High Street Medford, MA. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St. Raphael’s Scholarship fund.
