York, Maine-Joanne B. (Greaves) O’Neil, 79 of York, ME passed away Friday, June 16th after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born March 25, 1938 in Melrose, MA a daughter of the late Ralph and Janet (Billings) Greaves. Joanne raised her family in Bedford, MA. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Bruce O’Neil and their children; David O’Neil and his wife Samantha of East Greenwich, RI and Kate Politano and her husband Frank of Durham, NH; sisters Cynthia Fottler of Milford, NH and Nancy Taber of Stuart, FL; her aunt Barbara Brunelle of Tequesta, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 19th in the York-Ogunquit United Methodist Church, York, Maine. Memorial contributions may be made to the York Food Pantry, PO Box 180, York, ME 03909 or York Hospital Hospice, 127 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine.
