John J. Whalen

John J. Whalen, 70, passed away on April 27th. He was born in City Island NY, on Jan. 27th, 1949 to the late John and Catherine Whalen. He married Elizabeth McNulty in 1973. They lived together in York Beach, Maine before relocating to South Berwick in 2001. He was an amazing father, husband, grandfather, artist, free spirit, carpenter, comedian, and friend. John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Whalen, and their three children, Arian Blasik, and her husband Matt Blasik, Shauna Whalen, and her partner Earl Harried, Johnathan Whalen, and his wife Jamie Whalen. He was predeceased by his sister Judith Seedner, and survived by his sisters, Margaret Whalen, Jacqueline Villinski, and Mary McNulty. He has six grandchildren, Matthew, Mia, Emma, Jolie, Jacob, and Benjamin. We will love and miss him every day. Service: There will be a private service at a later date.
