John "Jack" Hendee Obituary
Kennebunk, Maine - John R. "Jack" Hendee, formerly of Cape Neddick, ME passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
He was born in Lincoln, VT on August 13, 1919 a son of the late George and Florence (Scribner) Hendee and was a 1938 graduate of Pittsford, VT High School.
Mr. Hendee had served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps for five years during World War II.
He had been employed by So. New England Telephone Company in Meriden, CT for 36 years retiring as a supervisor in 1981.
He had resided in Meriden for thirty-six years and been a resident of Cape Neddick since 1969.
He was a member of St. Christopher's, Star of the Sea Church in York Beach, ME. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Cape Neddick Country Club.
He was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Loomis) Hendee; brothers, Wendell Hendee, Roger Hendee, George Hendee and a sister Barbara (Hendee) Hart.
He leaves a son, John R. “Jay” Hendee, Jr. and his wife, Carol of Chichester, NH; three granddaughters, Chantelle Boyle, Susan Kennedy, and Alicia Lussier; 6 great-grandchildren; nine nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held in the spring in Pittsford, VT.
