Lawrence J. Finn

Lawrence (Larry) J. Finn of York, ME, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the age of 84. Larry was born April 9, 1934 in Woburn, MA, a son of the late George and Margaret (Chester) Finn. He graduated from Woburn High in 1953 and went on to enlist in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. After military service, Larry attended Northeastern University with the assistance of the GI Bill. He went on to marry his best friend, and have a successful career as an accountant; promoted to Chief Financial Officer of the New England Confectionary Company prior to his retirement to York, ME. Larry had a joyful and full life--but, his most precious fondness was time with family. His happiest days were spent going on trips with his wife; antique hunting; beach days with grandkids; volunteering; outdoor family adventures; as well as his passion as a World War II historian and model train enthusiast. Larry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theodora "Tammy" M. (Kobrenski) Finn of York, ME; his son Andrew J. Finn and wife Claudia of Dunstable, MA; his two daughters, Christine M. Cazmay and husband Richard of Merrimac, MA, and Nancy J. Finn and partner Scott A. Brash of Weymouth, MA. They also have five grandchildren, Nicholas, Jared, Christian, Caleb and Natalie. Larry also leaves his brother Neil Finn of Townsend, MA, and his sister Margaret Audie of Melbourne, FL as well as nieces and nephews. The family will hold a private 'Celebration of Life' in remembrance of their loving husband, father and friend.
