York, Maine- Leslie A. Mitchell, 72 of Long Sands Rd., passed away peacefully at York Hospital on Friday, August 4th 2017 with her family and friends by her side. She was born in Haverhill, MA on July 22, 1945 a daughter of the late Norman E. and Alys E. (Chase) Gregory. Leslie graduated from York High School and McIntosh College. Leslie worked in the school cafeteria for the York School Department for many years. Along with her husband she also co-owned Hanging by a Thread Craft Shop in York Harbor, ME. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, sewing, genealogy, horseback riding, and spending holidays with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Ronald M. Mitchell and a son Shannon G. Mitchell. She is survived by a son Shawn N. Mitchell of York, ME; a sister Holly M. Randolph (Paul) of Eliot, ME and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, August 11th in the First Parish Cemetery, 180 York St., York, ME. Please omit flowers. Donation may be made to the American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
