I met your mom in Annapolis, MD at the 2005 Decommission Ceremony of the Ship (USS Deyo) named after your Grandfather, Vice Rear Admiral Morton L Deyo. The year 2017 had me running around caring for my mother Esther J Aldridge (Alzheimer's) who was the HHS Deyo Family President of 17 years that organized contact with your Grandfather's Ship Captains. They had a Deyo family invited once in the Port Of N.Y. and again in the Port of Boston. Your mom was always invited but since travel started from New Paltz, NY and all other had to find their own ways your mom could not attend, sadly. I tried at the when the USS Deyo was in the Port of Boston to meet somewhere between her place and ours, Londonderry, NH, but it could not be done. She was a beautiful person and a delight to meet. I only regret not being able to know her better. It saddens me to know she is gone, and I did not know this then. to attend services.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. What seems to be a long life is never long enough where our loved ones are concerned. May the promise of our Heavenly Father Jehovah, to swallow up death forever, be a strength and comfort during this difficult time. (Isa. 25:8)
