Cape Neddick, ME - Command Master Chief Petty Officer Marvin R. Anderson, 70, of 1 Stoney Brook, passed away in his home on Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born July 2, 1948 in St. Cloud, Minnesota the son of Marvin E. and Irene B. (Johnson) Anderson. He traveled the world representing his country of the United States of America for 32 years in the U.S. Navy before retiring. He was Commander of the 14th Naval District and a veteran of the Vietnam, Desert Storm and Desert Shield Wars. He was a war hero many times over receiving many medals including the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for Heroism by the President of the United States. His family includes his wife Terrilee Feeny Anderson and family of York, Maine; his children, Andrew, Michael, Robert and Kirstie and families, of England, North Carolina and Maine respectively.
A graveside service with Military Honors will take place at 11am on Monday, October 29th in Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, in Springvale.
