York, Maine- Michel M. Coullon, 99 of 6 Hawthorne Lane, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at The Mark Wentworth Senior Living Community following a brief period of failing health. Michel, a French citizen and a veteran of World War II, was born in Rouen, France. He graduated from the Sorbonne with a BA in 1938. After working at the Continental Daily Mail, the Larousse Co. and the Organization for European Economic Co-operation and Development, he moved to the United Nations Secretarial in New York in 1961, where he would retire from in 1978 as Chief of Treaty Series, part of the Publishing Division.
Apart from his beloved wife of 54 years, Bridget Anne, he leaves two children from a previous marriage; Catherine Weber, Fabien Coullon and wife Elizabeth; three grandchildren, Laurence Weber, Stephane Weber and Thomas Coullon, and one great grandchild, Enzo Lombardo.
The family wishes to thank Patricia Chase for all her support and dedication to the Coullons for over 30 years of service. They also wish to extend their great appreciation for the support and dedication of the staff of The Mark Wentworth Senior Living Community and of Beacon Hospice.
