Minshall G. Strater

Minshall Strater, 70, of Greensboro, North Carolina, died of a heart attack in his sleep Friday, April 21, while on a fishing trip with friends in Washington State.  Minshall was born in York, Maine to David and Jean Strater.

He is survived by his partner of many years, Gwen Strange. He is also survived by his two children, Alisha Strater of Oakland, California and Charles Strater of Chicago, Illinois, along with step-daughter Tosca Chiseri of Greensboro and grandchild, Jordan Strater of Durham NH.  He was married twice, once to Georgia Bennett of York Maine and Elizabeth Chiseri-Strater of Greensboro.  

Minshall  held a MBA degree from the University of New Hampshire and was a real estate agent in Greensboro who worked with many firms, most recently with Allen Tate Realty.   Minshall enjoyed  nature photography, fishing, and spending time with family in Maine.

The family will hold a memorial service this summer in York, Maine and his ashes will be spread on the family’s island in Maine.
