Welcome to the memorial page for

Nancy (Buckley) Ergmann

April 20, 1954 ~ December 4, 2017 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Nancy (Buckley) Ergmann passed away unexpectedly on December 4. All who knew her and loved her are heartbroken beyond belief. Nancy lived her life to the fullest with an ever present smile and an ever ready helping hand. Nancy’s huge heart touched countless people throughout her life. She was a loving wife, perfect mother, proud and doting Grandma, trusted sister, beloved aunt, generous friend, and dedicated community member and coworker.

Nancy cherished spending quality time with friends and family on Harbor Beach, on the dock at Squam Lake, on daily walks through town with the girls, and on the golf course at York Golf and Tennis.  She especially loved countless family trips to St. Maarten and sailing in Belize and the British Virgin Islands.

She was a hostess extraordinaire. Her home was filled to the brim with joyous pictures of her family and the door was never locked, always ready to welcome in whoever dropped by.  She loved a full house, with friends and family sitting and chatting around the kitchen island (always stocked with M&Ms and Skittles). She never let a wine glass get half empty, and always made sure you had at least one of her homemade treats. Nancy was a caregiver by nature and was the glue in any circle that was blessed by her presence.

Nancy grew up in Nashua, NH. She and her husband, Mark lived most of their lives in York, ME with a short stint in Birmingham, AL. Nancy loved living in York and felt so lucky to raise her boys in such a wonderful community.

Nancy was a hard worker with several different career hats. She spent years as a dental hygienist with Dr. Harvey in Portsmouth, NH. In January of 2000 she joined Century 21 Atlantic Realty in York. She was a successful agent and was a diligent professional. Her integrity was admired by coworkers and clients alike. Nancy tenderly cared for her mother in the last years of her life. Nancy was a faithful member of First Parish Church, joyfully coordinating and chaperoning many mission trips with the parish youth.

Nancy is survived by Mark, husband of 37 years; sons Nathan and wife Rachel of Walnut Creek, CA, and Stephen and wife Jessica and grandson Jackson Mark of Exeter, NH; sister Deborah Buxton and husband Dave of Peterborough, NH; niece Jenni Buxton and partner Timmy Akeley and daughter Lucy of York; nephews Erik Buxton and partner Rachelle Witt of Everett, WA, George Buckley IV of Goffstown, NH; cousins Ellen Frisbie and husband John Ederer of Lake Tahoe, CA, Bill Frisbie and partner Kate Nelson of San Francisco, CA; Bob Stevens and wife Gail of Hooksett, NH; brother George Buckley of Crystal River, FL; and countless friends, especially members of the “Hood”.

She is predeceased by her mother and father, Theresa and George Buckley of Nashua, NH and beloved Aunt Edna Frisbie of Hampton, NH.
