Raymond E. Lowney

York Beach, Maine- Raymond E. Lowney, 88, Ret. Boston Police Captain, passed away, Tuesday, November 28, 2017. He leaves his wife of 30 yrs, Jane I. (Kaplan) Lowney;  two loving daughters, Dianne Dedominici and Deb Genatossio and three loving step-children, Thomas, Robert and Denise Reilly; a brother Richard Lowney; two sisters Nancy McGuire and Dorothy O'Neil; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Raymond had served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for the Boston Police Dept. for 33 years before retiring as a Captain. He enjoyed Boxing and was an avid runner. He will be remembered as a gentle, kind tough guy.  A period of visitation will be held from 12 to 1:30pm on Sunday, December 3rd,  in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine.
