Robert P. Hurley

York, Maine-Robert P. Hurley, 85, of 24 Church Street Ext., formerly of Westford, MA passed away  Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Durgin Pines. He was born March 15, 1932 in Lowell, MA a son of the late William and Bertha (Duff) Hurley. He graduated from Lowell High School and had attended Williams College.  He served in the United States Coast Guard.

He had worked as a letter carrier for the United States Post Office in Lowell for many years. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and for his love of family, friends and fishing. He leaves his wife Lorraine G. (Dion) Hurley; a daughter Susan A. Hurley of York, Maine and her husband Gary E. Somers; three sons, Christopher P. Hurley and his wife Charlotte of Westford, MA, Randall P. Hurley of Lowell, MA and Timothy P. Hurley of Yachats, OR; 

four grandchildren, Laura Ann, Christopher Robert, William Charles and Amber Sahaile, eight great-grandchildren.

 A funeral Mass will be celebrated at  11 am on Monday, February 19th in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington St., Suite 200, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
