Torrington, CT - Sally Anne (Lagowski) Armata, 73, of Torrington, Connecticut, treasured mother, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2019, while vacationing with her family in York Beach, Maine. She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, Roger Julian Armata, in 2006.

Born in Adams, Massachusetts on February 3, 1946, Sally was the daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Mogul) Lagowski. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School. Prior to her marriage and move to Torrington in 1966, she was employed as a secretary at the former Sprague Electric Company in North Adams. She resided in Torrington for 53 years, and enjoyed nature, gardening, reading, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Raegan (Armata) Wazorko and her husband Christopher Wazorko of Plainville, Connecticut, and Ashlee (Armata) Nestor and her husband Thomas of Stamford, Connecticut, and six grandchildren who filled her life with joy: Olivia Paige Wazorko, Lillian Elizabeth Wazorko, and Amelia Julian Wazorko of Plainville, and Aidan Sanford Nestor, Declan Farrell Nestor, and Ronan James Nestor of Stamford. Also surviving are her brother, Frank Lagowski and his wife Janet of Adams, Massachusetts, sister, Shirley (Lagowski) Warner of Ormond Beach, Florida, her nephew and several nieces, as well as many precious friends whom she loved like family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Lagowski Sr., in 1974.

A private Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
