Dear Ann, I was so sorry to read that your mom had passed while I was looking for someone else's obituary. I can remember visiting your mom and dad with my parents as a kid when they lived on the Nubble and your dad and mine worked at the Portsmouth Herald. The last time I saw them was at my fathers Thurston's 91st birthday party at the Dinnerhorn restaurant in Portsmouth in 2012. My dad passed Feb 20, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer's he was 93. My mother, Elva died at 70 in 1992 from lung cancer. They had sold their Rye home and moved to Venice, FL in 1987. After mom died dad stayed in FL until 2009 when we brought him back because his dementia was making unsafe for him to live alone. He had 3-4 good years living at Kittery estates until I had to move him to the Veterans Home in Tilton, NH where he died in 2015. I hope and pray that your dad is still alive and doing okay.

Just wanted you to know I was so very sad to hear about your mother...she was a wonderful woman... so very kind and always had a smile for everyone she saw. You will be in my prayers and sending a hug.

Oh, thank you so much, Mrs. Mont! My mother was always so fond of you! I remember her always shopping at the Harbor House and giving my dad a Christmas list every year for your shop only! We miss her so very much!
