Wayne King Perkins

YORK, Maine - On Thursday July 5, 2018, Wayne King Perkins went home to be with the Lord.

Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Thompson Perkins, and father, Royce King Perkins; his eldest son, Peter Perkins; an elder sister; and his two elder brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Janice S. Wiles; daughter, Paula McLaughlin; sons, Jonathan Perkins, Joshua Perkins, and Jordan Perkins; and sister, Artis Cardillo.

Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and certified by Homeland Security. A retired sea captain and business owner of heavy equipment he continued to work in Florida as man of many talents. An owner of a 1951 Studebaker pickup, he and Jan attended many classic car shows.

Wayne never met a stranger. He was one who engaged freely and actively with all whom he encountered. An avid traveler, he and his wife, Jan, saw much of the world together. Wayne loved the outdoors. The sea and camping where loves of his heart. Wayne was loved by all whom he encountered.

SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at the UMC York Ogunquit, 1026 U.S. Route 1, York on Wednesday, July 11, at noon.
