Allan L. Wade

February 26, 1944 ~ July 25, 2023 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Obituary

Allan L Wade, 79 passed away in Kittery on July 25,2023.

He was born in Wakefield, Mass on February 26,
1944, the son of the late Lawrence and Shirley (Nickerson) Wade.

He attended and graduated from Wakefield High School.

Allan had an illustrious and varied career.
He worked for Tandy Corp in the late 60s and early 70s as a traveling technician.
He also managed Gilley's Diner in Portsmouth thru the 70s and 80s
and while managing Gilley's he was very generous to the
seacoast community and had many friends including law enforcement and state officials.
For the last 8 to 10 years Allan, was the building manager of Wallingford Rentals and
worked in the kitchen at Rudders Public House. Allan had many lifetime friendships and will forever be missed.

Allan was a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy. He was always willing to help whether he was working around a restaurant, sweeping, or shoveling the sidewalk in front of the building he managed or helping his son work on his home. He was always willing to lend a hand wherever he could. He also once worked on renovations for a home in Kittery Point and he had no idea it was Daryl Hall's home - from the 80's band Hall & Oates. He had absolutely no clue how famous this person was.

He will be remembered for many things, including his love of puzzles. His favorite was 500-piece puzzles and he made hundreds of them.

He is survived by his son Adam Wade and his wife Sara of York, his daughter Morgan Wade and her partner Bryan Remines of Maryland. His grandchildren Harrison & Alexander Wade, Summer Brown, Will Radley, Sebastian, Sawyer, Sookie & Sullivan Merrill. His sisters Carol Harris of Harwich, Massachusetts
& Jeanne Ritter of Reading, Massachusetts.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
