Ann Cuthbert O’Brien Carven of Kittery Point died peacefully on September 11, 2021 surrounded by her three sons.
Ann was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 14, 1937 to William and Ethel O’Brien. She attended Berkley Institute and Westhampton High School and then continued her education at Nasson College, where she received a degree in education.
After raising her three sons, Ann was an elementary school teacher at the John C. Page school in West Newbury, Ma. She was a gifted and talented teacher who was kind, patient and always loved being with her students.
In her later years, she found peace and comfort in the beauty of the Maine seacoast.
Her greatest joy was her family. As a wife, mom and grandmother, she found so much happiness in time spent with her family, hearing stories of their adventures and lives always brought a smile to Ann’s face.
Ann is survived by her husband Joseph F. Carven, Jr. of Kittery Point, sons Joseph(Julie) of Amesbury, Ma, Timothy(Sybil) of Kittery Point, Me and James of South Hampton, NH and her 4 granddaughters, Molly Kate, Abby, Caroline and Sarah Carven. She is also survived by her brother William O’Brien(Kay) of Morrisville, Pa. and Susan Striebig(Charles) of East Moriches, NY.
Funeral services will be private.
