Ann "Tina" S. (Gabriel) Sorge

York, Maine - Ann "Tina" (Gabriel) Sorge, 89, of 175 Long Sands Rd., passed away on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at home with her family by her side. She was born August 26, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of the late Michael and Philomena (Castaldo) Gabriel.

Family was the most important part of Tina's life. Tina and her husband of 68 years, Arthur J. Sorge, have 3 daughters, Michele Sorge of York, ME, who predeceased her earlier this year, Dina DellaPasqua and her husband Rick of York, ME, and Elyse Kehl and her husband Chris of Kittery Point, ME; 7 grandchildren Ashley, Brittany, Emily, Dillon, Nicole, Daniel and Celia; 2 great grandchildren Coen and Iyla; nieces and nephews.  Tina had a brother Joseph "Skippy" Gabriel and a sister Constance "Dolly" Ciongoli who predeceased her.  Tina was devoted to her family first always offering her love, time and support.   

Tina loved to travel and had the opportunity to drive across the country, journey throughout Europe and even see the pyramids in Egypt.  She had a passion to read (led a book club), was a great cook, loved to sew and quilt, was always seen walking, and loved spending time with Artie and family at the Harbor Beach.  

After raising her children, Tina went back to banking and ended her career as a branch manager at United Jersey Bank.  

Tina and family loved Maine and spent many summers and weekends at their cottage.  After retiring, Tina and Artie moved to Maine where their daughters resided. They always felt blessed being part of their grandchildren's lives; watching them grow, attending many performances and graduations, sporting events, birthdays, holidays, and many family gatherings.  Tina was always buying the "kids" tickets to shows, plays, and concerts.  She loved taking her girls to see the Boston Pops for the annual Christmas show or on a sailing adventure on the Schooner Mary Day out of Camden Harbor. 

Tina had a way of filling the room with her contagious laugh that always put a smile on everyone’s face, especially when she was with her sister, Dolly.  She was a true “firecracker” to the very end.  Tina will be dearly missed by her family.  

Calling hours for Tina will be held from 3 to 5 pm on Thursday, May 25th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine with a prayer service to be held promptly at 5pm.
