Armand Leo Gregoire, 69, Passed away unexpectedly from a medical event on April 23rd, 2025 in York,
Maine. Born on April 7th, 1956 in Nashua, New Hampshire, Armand lived a life marked by dedication to
his family, community service, and deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Armand pursued his education at Boston University in programming and later attended the Mcgregor
institute of EMS to become an Emergency Medical Technician. His commitment to helping others led him
to proudly join the York Village Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. Serving both the Fire Department
and Ambulance association brought him immense pride and fulfillment. Through this work, he formed
lifelong friendships and made a lasting impact on his community.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Patricia (Nelson) Gregoire; His Daughters Tara (Gregoire)
Shakelton and her spouse Gabriel, Taylor (Gregoire) Lemoi and her spouse Cody, Sister in Law Deborah
(Vecchione) Hogan and spouse Mark, Father in Law Gerald Vecchione. Armand was a devoted
Grandfather to Quentin and Olivia Shakelton and Lyleigh and Adaleigh Lemoi. He also leaves behind his
Brother Paul Gregoire and spouse Jean; Niece Paula Gregoire, Nephews Nathan and Jacob Gregoire;
nieces Karen Merluzzi and Lisa Jazel, Nieces Jessica (Hogan) Cheung and Grace (Hogan) Miller.
Armand was predeceased by his parents Leo P. Gregoire and Claire Y. (Biron) Gregoire; his sister Susan
Jazel; nephew Stephen Jazel; and nieces Heather Gregoire, Lynn Anne Sullivan and nephew Craig
Sullivan. He is also predeceased by his mother in law Deanna (Rogers) Vecchione.
A man of many passions, Armand found joy in living in the beautiful seaside town of York Maine, fishing,
boating, riding his motorcycle, grilling, traveling with Patricia, most of all he enjoyed spending every
moment he could with his 4 grandchildren he was so proud to have. His compassionate nature, loyalty,
humor, and tireless work ethic touched all who knew him.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May, 4th 2025, From 2:00 to 5:00pm in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral
