She was the wife of the late F. Wade Greer, Jr., whom she married June 1953.
Born in Springfield, MA., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel
Lloyd.
Barbara was the valedictorian of the Cushing Academy Class of 1949 and received
her bachelor or art’s degree in English Literature from the University of New
Hampshire in 1953.
She and her husband had five children, whom they raised in Lynnfield, MA, Susan

Barbara and Wade travelled extensively, visiting all seven continents and
marveling at the beauty the world has to offer. They sailed the coast of New
England with family and friends for many years, and lived in Alton, NH; York, ME;
and Nokomis, FL after leaving Lynnfield.
Barbara was an elite contract bridge player becoming an ACBL Life Master in 1972,
months before her husband Wade. She became a Golden Life Master on
September 1, 2006, and the couple hosted a weekly bridge game at the South
Lynnfield Fire Station every Monday for many years. Barbra was particularly proud
of hosting ACBL’s NABC National Tournament in Boston.
She is survived by her sister Nancy, of Keene, NH, her five children, seven
grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
“When you speak of her,
speak not with tears,
for thoughts of her should not be sad.
Let memories of the times you shared
give you comfort,
for her life was rich
because of you.”
