Charles R. Kennedy Obituary

Charles Robert Kennedy, 80, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on July 16, 2021 while vacationing in Maine with his family.

Bob was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas on March 7, 1941 the son of Charles and Madeline Kennedy. After spending his early youth in West Texas, the family moved to Phoenix in 1950 where Bob graduated from West High in 1959. He attended Phoenix College and went on to receive his BS degree from Arizona State University in 1964.

Bob worked for Dave’s Motor Transportation in Boston, Massachusetts and raised his family in York Maine with his former wife Ruthann Fox Lichtenwalner, before moving back to Arizona in 1986. Bob loved sports, playing golf and always had a great story to share. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughters Pam Kennedy Rohrer and Sandy Kennedy Kelly; his beloved grandchildren Jake Rohrer, Kyle Rohrer, Shaye Rohrer, Justin Kelly and Riley Kelly; son-in-laws Russ Rohrer and Sean Kelly; loving partner, Diana Crowley; and his many nieces and nephews. He joins his parents and his sister Kerrie in heaven.

Services will be held by his family in Phoenix to honor and celebrate his life.
