Clifford A. Whitney

York Beach, Maine-Clifford A. Whitney, 79 passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Worcester, MA.

He was born April 17, 1942 in Maynard, MA a son of the late Howard S. and Myrtle A. (Hodgess) Whitney. He served in the United States Army as a medic before being honorably discharged. 

He was a vice president at Boston and Marlboro banks prior to studying nursing. He then worked as a Registered Nurse from 1991-2004 at  York  Hospital.  He was known for his extraordinary patient care.

His wife Nancy (Greene) Whitney of 39 years predeceased him. His brother Bob Whitney predeceased him in 2021. He leaves his brother, Bill Whitney of El Dorado Hills, CA  as well as Eric Tayler and his wife Beverly of NC, two daughters, Rebecca Tayler of Worcester, MA; and Margaret (Peg) Tayler Careau and her husband, Daniel, of Auburn, MA; three grandchildren, Erica Dean and her husband, Josh, of NC, Sarah Seay, and her husband, Adam, of NC, and Alex Tayler of Worcester, MA; six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 11:30am in the First Parish Cemetery, York, Maine
