David P. DeCoste

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, November 18th at Foster's Clambake, Axholme Road, York, Maine..

David Prescott DeCoste

July 10,1965 to November 3, 2023

Born Lowell, Mass. at Saint John's Hospital, son of Nancy Stowe and Francis D. DeCoste Jr., David grew up in Salem and Londonderry, N.H.  A graduate of Londonderry High School, he attended the University of New Hampshire, completing his bachelors degree from University of Maine, Orono.

Dave was a loving father to Campbell and Kenzie, devoted partner to Cherie Balakier and her children Ellie, Delia and Harrison, loyal brother to Julia Krupa and her husband Charlie Krupa, Jennifer Gagnon and her husband Jean Gagnon, Cathy DeCoste Greenwell, Robert DeCoste and Ronald DeCoste and former husband of Sarah Yorke.  Dave also leaves many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.  

Employed at Red Door Title in Portsmouth, Barnacle Billy's in Perkins Cove and Autoworks in Kittery.  Friends and family cherish the memories of Dave's sharp wit, which would keep you laughing with his lightning fast comebacks.

Dave loved being a Dad...giving hugs, sharing a book, telling a story, traveling on vacation or watching from the sideline of his children's sporting events.

Taken unexpectedly, Dave left a mark with laughter, compassion and wisdom as a partner, son, brother, dad, uncle, cousin and friend over his short 58 years of life.  In knowing Dave, he'd want you to fill that empty space in your heart with love, kindness and joy to be shared with others.
