Deanna Marie (Rogers) (Nelson) Vecchione, 85, Passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2025, in York, Maine surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 3rd, 1939, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Deanna was a proud graduate of Lowell High school. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to her family endeavors. She served as an administrator for her husbands building business and also worked as an assistant at Loring studios.
Deanna’s life was deeply rooted in love for her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Gerald Vecchione; her daughters Patricia (Nelson) Gregoire and Deborah (Vecchione) Hogan and her spouse Mark; and her cherished grandchildren: Tara (Gregoire) Shakelton and her spouse Gabriel. Taylor (Gregoire) Lemoi and spouse Cody, Jessica (Hogan) Cheung and spouse Raymond, and Grace (Hogan) Miller and spouse Adam. Deanna was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Quentin, Olivia, Lyleigh, Adaleigh, Oliver and Ethan.
She is also survived by her sister Marilyn (Rogers) Gickas; brother Richard Rogers and wife Diane; niece Christine (Simmons) Vielhauer and her spouse Fred; Nephew Kevin Rogers and his wife Michelle; Nephew Brian Jusczak and his wife Marsha; Nephew Kenneth Jusczak; Great niece Bethany (Jusczak) O'Donnell and her spouse Ken along with their sons Liam and Aiden; Great niece Allison Jusczak; great nephew Ben rogers; great niece Angelina Rogers; great niece Amber Simmons and great nephew Tyler Simmons.
Deanna was predeceased by her parents Eva Marie Rogers and Lawrence R. Rogers, her son-in-law Armand Gregoire and brother-in-law Peter Gickas.
A woman of vibrant spirit. Deanna found joy in shopping for the perfect piece of jewelry or home décor item. She loved traveling to new places, spending sunny days at the beach, sharing lunches with friends, and creating lasting memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her fashionable style and warm social nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Deanna’s faith as a catholic provided a foundation of strength throughout her life.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025, from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, located at 91 Long Sands Road in York, Maine. A graveside service will follow to First Parish Cemetery.
Deanna’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
