Diane Locwin passed away on Sunday, March 26th 2023, age 77, with family at her side.
Diane always served a purpose larger than herself. She was born January 27th, 1946 in Worcester, MA. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School and received an RN degree with honors from Worcester City Hospital.
She worked tirelessly to provide care to patients as an Emergency Room nurse for over 3 decades, including at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, CT, York Hospital in York, ME, and Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. She was also a nationally-recognized speaker for her expertise in Occupational Health and Travel Medicine.
She was a wonderful wife to her high school sweetheart and partner for 55 years, Paul; Mother to Tara Sherman and her husband JD of York, ME, and Ben and his wife Meghan of Portsmouth, NH; and Grandmother to her ‘boys’ Owen, Sam, and Myles, who were very special to her.
She will be remembered for so many more things than can be conveyed; but in particular, her neverending thoughtfulness will be so dearly missed.
She leaves behind a legacy of encouraging people to do their very best in life.
Absent her, the world is somehow a lonelier place.
