Donna Jean Bell of Wells, Maine, treasured mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed peacefully on November 14th at the age of 78.

Donna was born May 26th, 1947 in St. Clair, Michigan. She graduated in 1965 from Croswell-Lexington High School where she was a talented cheerleader. After graduating, she moved to Port Huron before settling to raise her family in Redford, Michigan. As her children were growing up, Donna entered the workforce, taking employment at her favorite fabric store. Years later she became the manager of a popular clothing store, and eventually took a job in the parts manufacturing industry where she proudly became a certified inspector for parts used in the military and auto industry. In 2017, she retired and moved to Maine, a place where she spent many summers with her children and grandchildren visiting her family.

Donna was a talented seamstress, sewing figure skating dresses and knitting sweaters for both her daughter and granddaughter over the years. She was a proud skating parent and then grandparent, spending much of her time involved at the Detroit Skating Club and Redford Ice Arena.

She enjoyed cooking for her family, often making delicious spaghetti dinners and amazing chocolate chip cookies. She loved to play games, read, and to watch HBO and classic movies. She also loved to travel - especially to Las Vegas, where she enjoyed the finer things in life. She had a lifelong love of working in the yard and tending to her flowers - a joy, and a purpose that she carried until the end.

Donna truly cherished time with her family. She never missed a birthday shopping day, a skating competition, a Black Friday outing, or hosting a Christmas Eve dinner that included her famous fudge and entertaining her family with her clues in Pictionary.

Her memory lives on in her children Robin Williams and Michael Bell, her sisters Arlene Chase and Carol (Tom) Chase, her grandchildren Jessica (Joey) Gomez and Tom Williams, her great-grandson Ronan, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Lesley Bell, her parents Don and Lois Randolph, and her brother-in-law Jack Chase.
