Elaine L. Hanton

York, Maine- Elaine Littlefield Moskel Hanton, 97, died peacefully at home on Monday, December 28, 2020. 

She was born September 25, 1923 in Sanford, Maine daughter of the late Willis A. and Laura (Villaire) Littlefield who provided her with cherished childhood memories. 

A graduate of Nasson College, she continued to add to her knowledge and interests throughout her life. 

Over the years she was a teacher, mentor, real estate agent and involved in local groups. 

A lifelong artist and YAA member, she extended her talents into many hobbies including quilting. 

A lover of nature, she hiked throughout the area, was an expert birdwatcher and enjoyed her beautiful flower gardens. 

An avid supporter of animal's rights, her dogs held a special place in her heart. 

She enjoyed life, people, good conversation, a good laugh and especially the many close friends she had made along the way. 

Predeceasing her were John Moskel Jr., William C. Hanton Jr., her son John Arlon Moskel and granddaughter Molly. 

She is survived by her family Elizabeth, Dennis, David, Priscille and Rhonda; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. She was much loved and will be greatly missed. 

Graveside services will be held in the spring in Oakdale Cemetery, Sanford, Maine.
