Eleanor M. Salisbury

Eleanor M. Salisbury of York, Me. passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 19, 2018 at Durgin Pines in Kittery.

She was born in Boston on June 16, 1926 the daughter of the late Emma (Landry) and Joseph Aucoin.  Raised in Medford Ma., she graduated from Medford HS in 1944.

Eleanor traveled extensively throughout her life and worked as an executive secretary for Hills Department Stores in Boston Mass for over 30 years.  She had several interests including race cars, which she herself drove, modeling shoes, fashion, traveling and football. Eleanor’s sense of humor and positive outlook was extraordinary and brightened the lives of so many.  She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Paul F Ducey of Greenville Maine, her daughter Lynne E Doyle of Canterbury NH, grandchildren Sandra Dukette, Karen Ducey, Leah Ducey, Paul Ducey, Deanna Ducey and 8 great grandchildren, Eleanor is also survived by her best friend, Judy Woods of York Maine and her extended family.

She is predeceased by her husband, George Salisbury and her sons, Richard J Ducey and Alan J Ducey.

Eleanor’s final resting place will be at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH with her husband George.
