Elly Bernazzani of York, Maine, was born and raised in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. She was the beloved daughter of Mary and William Chellman and the youngest of seven siblings.
Elly spent over 30 years exploring and settling into Maines lakeside and ocean views alongside her husband, Kenny Bernazzani, while raising their three children. They will forever cherish the unconditional and unwavering love she brought into their lives. Elly was the kind of mother whom friends and family turned to for support—someone who listened without judgment and always made space for others. Her presence provided a rare and comforting warmth that was consistently felt.
Elly will always be remembered for her steadfast kindness, fierce loyalty, and deep commitment to family and helping others. As a devoted mother and proud grandmother of three, her grandson's joyful spirit filled her world with happiness. He will always treasure the snuggles, endless laughter, and every single day they spent together.
Taken from this world far too soon, she leaves behind not only cherished memories but also a legacy of love and strength. She never gave up and will never be forgotten.
A Funeral Mass will be held May 15th at 11:00 AM at St. Christopher's Church, York, ME followed by a memorial service for friends and family honoring Elly at Foster Clambake.
Memorial contributions to the Brain Injury Association of America are welcomed and appreciated.
