Fairfield Gordon Coogan

Fairfield G. Coogan died August 9, 2024, in York, Maine. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Later, he worked in the thoroughbred industry for a number of years, as a steeplechase rider and then as a trainer.

Painting was his great interest, and he continued working in this field, with considerable success, for the rest of his life.

His wife, Edith Park Coogan, died in 2004, as did his daughter, Edith C. Perry, in 2020. He is survived by three daughters, Josephine O. Coogan, Elizabeth C. Komar, and Amy G. Coogan.
