Frank A. Kalwell

July 13, 1935 – October 20, 2022

York, Maine – Frank Anthony Kalwell formally of Lewiston, Maine passed away October 20, 2022 at the age of 87. He was the son of the late Charles Kalwell and Tekle Eismont Kalwell and brother of the late Anne Kalwell and the father of the late Jay Kalwell. He leaves behind Linda Carlson his beloved partner in life.

Frank graduated from Lewiston High School 1953, attended Auburn School of Commerce from 1954 through 1955 and joined the Navy in 1955 through 1957 stationed on the USS Tarawa CVS-40 as a Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was honorably discharged in 1957.

To further his education Frank attended Boston University in Business Administration and graduated in 1961. Upon graduation he began working for the start-up company Digital Equipment Corporation in Maynard, Massachusetts. He spent 32 enjoyable years at Digital in various Administrative positions including Property Manager for the sites in Merrimack, New Hampshire until his retirement in 1992.

In retirement Frank relocated to York, Maine where he served on the York Board of Assessors Committee, York Hospital Ambulance Board, Sohier Park Committee and Mt. Agamenticus Facility Coordinator.

Frank enjoyed spending time with friends, boating and fishing off the shores of Portsmouth Harbor, reading and traveling.
