Frank H. Witham, born in York, Maine on June 18th, 1944 to Clarence F. and Muriel E. (Waugh) Witham. He passed away peacefully in his beloved home by the pond on July 4th, 2026 with his wife by his side.
He graduated from York High School in 1962. Throughout high school he spent his time working at the local service station and spending time with his friends and family. Upon graduation he attended Bentley College before coming back home to take over the family business. Frank owned and ran C.F. Witham & Son for over 40+ years. He was not only a talented contractor and businessman, but also a developer in York and co/owner of Atlantic Self Storage but more importantly highly regarded and respected throughout the community. Frank was on the board of trustees at York Hospital and York Water District.
His true joy in life, above all else, was his Family, friends and enjoying his antique cars. He spent his time enjoying winters at his home in Florida with his wife, family and friends and in the summer he looked forward to sitting on his deck at Mousam Lake watching his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara; his sister Margaret Dixon; his children Kelli, Robyn husband Rob, Darin wife Christy and Jessica husband Craig; 11 Grandchildren: Jakob and Mya Succi. Arie, Cole and Luke Thompson. Wylie, Jasper, Corbett and Tegan Witham. Ty and Adison Regis. As well as his great grandson Mael Succi. Also leaving behind many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Chris Dixon.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Maine Obsolete Auto League where he mademany memories as a family.
His family cherished him, respected him and loved him beyond words. We know he will be missed by many in our community that were lucky enough to know him.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Thursday, July 9th in the First Parish Cemetery, 180 York Street, York, Maine. A Celebration of life will be held July 27th from 5-8pm at Foster's Clam Bake. All are welcome to come and honor Franks life.
