Gail A. Fortin, 71, of York Harbor, Maine, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Gail will be remembered for her warm spirit, kind heart, and the easy way she connected with everyone she met. She loved chatting with people and had a natural gift for making others feel welcome. Her bright smile, sweet personality, and beautiful sense of style left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She had a lifelong love of design, especially classic blue and white décor, and she found great joy in admiring beautiful homes—often driving around simply to look at houses or stopping into open houses for the fun of it. Gail also adored dogs and shared her life with many beloved companions over the years.
She is survived by her husband, Andrew Fortin of York Harbor, Maine; her daughter, Sara O’Brien, and son-in-law, Miles O’Brien, of York Harbor, Maine; her grandsons, Everett and Oliver O’Brien; and her stepson, Jonathan Fortin, and his wife, Danielle Fortin, of Hewitt, New Jersey.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gail’s life from 1–3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home. A gathering with light refreshments will follow at the York Harbor Inn.
Gail will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warmth, kindness, and unmistakable smile will be remembered always.
