Gary E. Connor

Gary passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 66, after a brief illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 40 years, Jill; their daughters, Kasey McKenney (Mike), grandchildren Connor and Isla; and Courtney (fiancé, Matt Deyo) and grandson Garrett, Gary’s namesake. 

He grew up in Hampton, New Hampshire and spent countless days on Pawtuckaway Lake alongside his siblings, Danny, Kellee, Terry, and Patrick. Those years shaped his lifelong love for family, sports, and the outdoors. He later built a beautiful life with his loving wife Jill, raising their daughters in Kittery, Maine, and settling in York, Maine.

Gary knew how to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing golf and hockey, passions that stayed with him throughout his life. He cherished time at the beach, especially Long Sands in Maine and Coquina Beach on Anna Maria Island while visiting his home in Florida. He frequently spent summer nights on his boat, enjoying a cold beer with family and friends. He took great joy in watching his nieces and nephews grow up and never missed an opportunity to be present for family moments. His family was truly the center of his world.

His most recent, and favorite title was “Gammie” to his three grandchildren, Connor, Garrett, and Isla. Being their grandfather was the greatest joy of his life. He treasured every moment with them.

Above all, Gary will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his easy going nature, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. He will be profoundly missed and forever cherished.

Honoring Gary’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
