Greta Jean (Burness) Glorioso

York, Maine- Greta Jean (Burness) Glorioso, 84 formerly of Natick, MA passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 in Durgin Pines.

She was born February 7, 1939 in Hyde Park, MA a daughter of the late J. Gordon and Florence B. (Aitchison) Burness. 

She enjoyed many years working as a secretary in an elementary school, for a doctor's office in Natick, MA, and had worked for several years a a receptionist in the Maine Hotel Industry. She enjoyed spending time on the beaches of Maine and Massachusetts, and her weekly get togethers with the ladies of her quilting and knitting groups. She loved her family, and friends and she will be missed. 

She leaves a son Jack Glorioso and his partner Yoko of Plymouth, MA; a daughter Janet Gallaher of North Waterboro, Maine; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Peter W. Burness and his wife Mary of Hampton, NH and Robert J. Burness and his wife Lena of Camp Verde, AZ; a sister Susan Congdon and her husband Steve of The Villages, FL; several nieces and nephews.

A son David Glorioso and a brother John Gordon Burness Jr. and his wife Catherine all predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, December 9th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine.

Funeral will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
