Henrietta "Chickie" (Demers) Fortin

York, Maine-Henrietta "Chickie" A. Fortin, 88, of Cider Hill Road, passed away on Friday February 6th, 2026.

She was born April 2, 1937 in Manchester, NH a daughter of the late Henry W. and Lauretta A. (Boisvert) Demers.

Her husband of 67 yrs Ronald F. Fortin and two sons Mark and David predeceased her.

She is survived  two daughters Cynthia Dodd and Felicia Curtin of York, Maine; a son Jeffrey Fortin (Suzanne Filippone) of Durham, NH; a brother Andre Demers; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Chickie lived all over the world during her husband's service in the US military, including  Nebraska, Hawaii, Japan, Michigan, Florida, and Texas before settling down in York, Maine.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Catholic Charity of one's choice.
