CAPE NEDDICK, Maine — Henry Flint Warner Jr., 95, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at his home. Henry was born in Bristol, Connecticut, on June 22, 1929, to the late Henry F. Warner Sr. and Mina (Wilkinson) Warner. In 1937, the Warner family relocated to Cape Neddick, Maine, and resided on Logging Road.


Upon graduation from York High School in 1947, Henry studied at McIntosh Business School, graduating in 1949. Then, he enlisted in the U. S. Army, serving in the Korean War and the Army Reserves.


On February 27, 1954, Henry married the love of his life, Virginia (née Lawrence) Warner. They resided on Logging Road for the majority of their lives, where they raised three sons. In that same year of 1954, Henry matriculated in a business-degree program at the University of New Hampshire, graduating with high honors. In 1957, he embarked on a career with General Electric, earning the position of manager of business systems and information processing, and retiring in 1989.


While raising a family with “Ginny” and maintaining a career, Henry was very involved in the community and served on several committees. For 50 years, Henry was honored to serve on The York Hospital Board of Trustees. He also very active in the Cape Neddick Baptist Church, serving as Treasurer and regularly participating in the choir.


Henry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He and Ginny cherished time together with family at their camp overlooking Brassua Lake. They shared their love of the outdoors with their sons, their wives, and their grandchildren.


Throughout the years, Henry was actively engaged in the pursuits of his children and grandchildren, attending numerous sporting- and school-related events. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting.


Henry was predeceased by his parents, wife, Ginny, and siblings Virginia Allen, June Fernald, Barbara Otto, Lauretta Abbott, Samuel Warner, and William Warner.


Henry’s survivors include his son, Henry F. “Mickey” Warner III, his wife Ginny, and their sons, William Woodward, and his girlfriend, Hannah and Jonathan Woodward, his wife Sarah, and their children, Lauren Woodward and Jason Woodward; his son, Robert F. Warner, his wife, Andrea, and their son, Eric Warner, and his wife, Serina, and their son, Wesley Warner; his son Ronald C. Warner, and his wife, Kirsten, and their daughter, Lindsay A. Warner Wagner, and her husband, Brandon Wagner, and son Jonathan C. Warner, and his girlfriend, Amber. Henry is also survived by his sister, Linda Flowers, as well as many nieces and nephews. Calling hours for Henry will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August, 15, 2024 in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York, Maine. 

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at the Cape Neddick Baptist Church, 34 River Road, followed by a military honors burial at the First Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only. Please consider donating to Cape Neddick Baptist Church or York Hospital.
